CLAIM: Dems must be more moderate to win elections

Ok. Let's unpack that.

A living wage is moderate—a poverty wage is extreme

Guaranteed healthcare is moderate—denying care is extreme

Racial justice is moderate—racism is extreme

Climate justice is moderate—denying climate science is extreme

Reject GOP Framing. Lean confidently into our ideas based on facts and justice because that win elections.

For me the very thing that made Mastodon just that more appealing is the exact reason I won't be signing up for threads: it's a data mining operation. We are not the customers, we are the product.

But please, please keep posting here, becuase I enjoy what you offer us very much.

"You’re probably not in the best mood right now to celebrate white America’s birthday, unless you’re Clarence Thomas grilling unicorn steaks at Harlan Crow’s private island. The rest of us are rightfully grumpy, and that’s before some dumbass frightens the neighborhood pets with illegal fireworks."

And even so, SER asks us to "choose "more life," no matter what they throw at us." It's part of the path to surviving, year after year.

My dad was a pretty great guy, as were both the stepfathers my mom married after his death (I was nine years old; my stepdads came in to my life at 10 and 30ish years old). In the society we live in, I feel extremely lucky to have had three good father figures.

Scrolling through the comments here, and seeing the mix of "my dad was awesome," and "my dad sucked," and "my dad was a tortured soul" it makes me think about generational trauma. (1 of 3)

@Teri_Kanefield I'm sure it will be the best indictment, the perfect indictment. No one gets indicted better than Donald J. Trump.

It must have been cool to watch the OG Star Wars without knowing "Luke, I am your father" for basically your entire life before ever seeing the movies. :pensive_party_blob:
