So, I'm looking up omphacite and kyanite to figure out which to vote for in #MinCup24; here's my list of (admittedly shallow) reasons so far:

--The color has me leaning toward kyanite.
--"Omphacite" is fun to say.
--Per wiki, the etymology of omphacite is "from the Greek omphax or 'unripe grape' for the typical green color."
--The kyanite wiki entry introduced me to the word "chatoyancy" (cat's eye effect) "Coined from the French œil de chat, meaning 'cat's eye'."
