Got woken up at 1am by an unearthly scream from Jana, who was sitting in the front catio and must have spotted another cat or possibly even a dog. By the time we had calmed her down, and calmed Shula down, and then separated them because they were hissing at each other, and got them both settled in separate rooms....

I was wide awake :(

I feel like cold overcooked pasta this morning

Gotta love the even when they are annoying little buggers 😀

I just saw a video of a cat playing with a balloon, and since Jana is bored and I had a packet of the things lying around, I thought I'd give her some to play with.

She's scared of them.

Oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️

For those of you worrying about my kitty, I can report that she is in good physical health and her issues do seem to be about lack of attention and jealousy/ territoriality with our other cat.

Extra attention and love are working. Now if I could just get Spouse to be consistent and stop shouting at our cats, it would be good.

Thank you all for your kind concern ❤️

Shula has been in a funny mood for days, and actually bit me twice yesterday for real (drew blood) for no reason I could see. I want us both to pay her more attention and give reassurance, but spouse is turned off by her being weird and doesn't cooperate :(

Anyway, I made a special effort to let her sit in my lap this morning, not just beside me. She sat there for a good while, but I can tell whatever we've done, isn't forgiven

Yesterday, I mentioned the 'palace' Shula likes to hide in. There used to be only one of that kind in the house, although we have cat igloos all over the place. But that one, being in Daddy's room, is prime territory.

So I bought another one and put it next to the other. Shula is now bouncing between the two trying to claim both.

Jana has managed to claim the original and best this morning :)

The dulcet kid noises are now to the point where I have the windows shut and the aircon on :(

Meanwhile, my little black is hiding in what we call the palace (a pet cube on her daddy's filing cabinet in his office), but just because she wants to be alone, doesn't mean she also doesn't want pets and love. So I go in every few minutes for a quick visit and scritches :)

Well, cats are home from the vet, vaccinated, pronounced healthy, and after having stuffed their faces with treat food, largely over the trauma of the whole car thing.

Meanwhile Mummy and Daddy need a drink ;)

I tell you what, , , , and are the perfect antidote for existential panic caused by...well, everything going on right now :(
