I think that Elon may just be a little bitter about Mastodon

😂😂😂

Washington Post will be creating their own instance. They will add #mastodon accounts to journalist profiles.

Institutional #journalism embracing the #fediverse is important.

It's best to understand that fascists see hypocrisy as a virtue. It's how they signal that the things they are doing to people were never meant to be equally applied.

It's not an inconsistency. It's very consistent to the only true fascist value, which is domination.

Lone banning journalists is like the time Tumblr banned porn - it's literally the site's raison d'etre. If journalists abandon Twitter - and they have a moral obligation to - then Twitter is just Truth Social.

Ye still has a couple of hours left in the day to commit a massive, crippling self-own in order to keep up

@Pwnallthethings Elon is so great at driving people to new places. He should start a car company or something.

So how long do you think it will take for that joinmastodon account that got suspended from Twitter to migrate over to mastodon? 😉

Possibly my favourite cartoon in the world (by Emily's Cartoons).

Monday is Constitution Day in Russia, and millions of people across the country will honor their nation's founding document in the same spirit as the Putin regime by wiping their asses with paper at some point in the day.

I feel really bad for Elon Musk.

At this rate, he won't have any Twitter employees left who he can force to work on Christmas eve.

Great idea. Masters has plenty of time on his hands for such an assignment because he [checks notes] lost a very winnable race in a purple state because he’s a remarkably creepy and unlikable person.

The RNC is turning to Blake Masters to figure out what went wrong in this year’s midterm elections

I stopped posting on Twitter a week ago because I don’t want to help a nazi sympathizing billionaire man-baby with his website. Feels good to not be doing that. Can I get an amen?

Is the Republican Party ready to move on from Trump?

Well, Trump just invited a holocaust denier and white nationalist to dinner and Republican leaders have said NOTHING

RT @jonathanvswan@twitter.com

This source is wrong. Nick Fuentes in fact did have dinner with Trump and Kanye at Mar-a-Lago and spoke directly with the former president, per sources with direct knowledge. Story to come on @axios@twitter.com. twitter.com/meridithmcgraw/sta

There are so many questions about whether Russian propaganda actually has any meaningful impact on the attitudes and beliefs of target audiences, and I think this evidence helps to show that 1) yes it does, and 2) much of the influence may actually take place indirectly, via the impact of Russian propaganda on the tone of media coverage more broadly, such as its impact on how/how much Fox News covered the far-right truck convoy, how it was framed in news coverage, etc.

Yesterday I posted a petition to demand Congress pass permanent protections for DACA recipients.

Someone responded that DACA recipients should be deported and "come legally." When I pointed out that by definition DACA recipients were children and had no choice, he responded that it wasn't his problem.

This cruelty will destroy our nation. Today, if you're grateful for safe residence, please speak up for DACA recipients & demand justice for them. Thank you.

Millions try to enter the US every year, many risking their lives to do so, while a million just fled Russia. Any questions?

Birb site is adorable

After just a couple weeks in Fediverse, seeing this on Twitter is so weird. "Turn on personalized ads" is like "select your own torture chamber"

Imagine being a rooster and just completely losing your shit over the sun rising.

In 1959, police were called to a segregated library when a Black 9-year-old boy trying to check out books refused to leave, after being told the library was not for Black people.

The boy, Ronald McNair, went on to became an astronaut. The library is also now named after him
