I was promised a sci-fi future where robots would do all the menial tasks so that humans could focus on creating art and instead you assholes built robots to do the art so we all have to fight over the jobs doing menial tasks, good job.

Yeah it's cool that Alan Turing was gay and also brilliant.

However urging people not to persecute trans and gay people because some of us might be as brilliant and useful as Turing is not it. Everyone deserves to live a happy life even if they're not super smart and produce useful inventions. Such exhortations, while well-meaning, fail to challenge the underlying problem which is that we live in a fucking meat grinder.

It recently struck me that 27 years ago there was a movie with Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguizamo playing drag queens,and if it came out today, someone would firebomb the theaters it was in. I'm not putting a sensitive warning on this picture because it's not fucking sensitive. its a movie that came out in 1995. things have moved backwards in a terrifying way.
