@voron @mekkaokereke @Teri_Kanefield as someone looking at it from an outside perspective, the US does not have a left. Even the most leftist side of the Democratic party would be considered right wing in Europe.
The US has painted itself into a corner where even leftists are required to vote for the right in order to avoid literal extremists to gain power. And even then it's hanging on a thread
"Much of the world.. has had to suffer because American employers want to be able to pay their employees very little — and in the face of having to pay those employees just a little bit more, they unnecessarily drove up the prices of everything"

A quick thing — can you please boost?
I'm looking for an an artist to commission a character design piece for noncommercial public use. Since this piece would depict an agender character, I would love if a trans or nonbinary artist could be the one I commission!
If you know of anyone who has commissions open that seems a good fit for this, please let me know!
And rail workers are only asking for FOUR DAYS of paid sick leave
https://popular.info/p/railroading-workers
RT @SenSanders@twitter.com
Guaranteeing 7 paid sick days to rail workers would cost the rail industry a grand total of $321 million a year – less than 2% of its profits. Please don't tell me the rail industry can't afford it. Rail companies spent $25.5 billion on stock buybacks and dividends this year.

1. The nation's 100K+ rail workers get ZERO paid sick days
They want FOUR
And are threatening to strike December 9
In response, corporate America is demanding Congress intervene and force them to continue working without any paid sick days
Cricut cutting machines, ubiquitous in schools, libraries and makerspaces, can be used to make embossed or stenciled tactile graphics. A Braille embosser costs at least $1500 — Cricuts cost a fifth of that or less. Today I learned that I can handle the hardware and make great stencils: all that holds a Blind maker back is a set of unlabeled controls in the software. Does anyone know somebody at Cricut I could talk to about making the interface more accessible? Boosters beloved on this one!
Normalize Black people coming to this app being safe to speak their minds. What we bring up might abut internal discomfort and biases that you might hold. That is not the minoritized person’s responsibility, though, to educate you, coddle you, to do the work for you. It is your responsibility to not create yet another space where Black people are marginalized or silenced.
I’ve been calculated about bringing this up and now is the time.💖✊🏽

Supreme Corruption
👀 "To remain as close to the court as possible, Mr. Schenck purchased a building across the street and began working the court’s employees.... [H]e visited Scalia and Thomas in chambers, where he shaped his prayers as political messaging, using phrases like “the sanctity of human life” to plea for an end to abortion. (Peggy Nienaber, who worked with Mr. Schenck, was recently recorded saying that the group had prayed with justices at the court.)"
