I forgot to post this over the weekend: 3/5/2004 - during the brief window that Multnomah County, Oregon was allowing same-sex marriages. We're in a long line in the Portland drizzle outside the Multnomah courthouse.
In November prop 36 passed putting one-man, one-woman marriage in the state constitution, and a judge annulled all our marriages.

I found this taped to the door of the geography department at GWU today and it brought me so much joy. A guide to figuring out when a map was made based on features. Zoom in. It’s amazing.
Oh, for feel-o-vision. This yarn doesn't look particularly exciting, but it's a combination of baby camel down and mulberry silk, and so soft and silky. This is over 220 yds/200 meters, two ply. I have a pound/453 gm of this fluff and still have a bobbin's worth to reel and about 7 oz/200 gm left to spin.

Woo hoo! 2 hour delay for work means I get to clear the driveway (or at least my side)
Monday we were given the option to stay home-snow wasn't bad, but appreciated the opportunity to work undisturbed. Yesterday, started with a 2-hour delay that became a clinic closure. At first, it seemed like an overreaction, but then the wind picked up and visibility dropped to Very Bad, and I was glad to not have to go anywhere.
Today the sky looks only partially cloudy, but looking at road cams, the drive looks intense. Gonna be fun (not).

One of the tribe's colonies is near Woodfords, California (Hung-a-lel-ti) and is probably at 6,000 ft. They have gotten slammed with snow already. I cannot imagine what this storm will bring.
